‘All I wanna do is have some sleep
And I got the feelin I ain’t the only one
All I wanna do is have some sleeeeeepppppp
And I got the feelin I ain’t the only one…..All I wanna dooooooooooo’

All work and no play makes Tina a dull, drab DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH. Endless hours holed in a suffocating cubicle. Peekin all day into the blinding monitor. Dethroned on a back-breaking chair.Air-deconditioned to dry lifeless skin and an even drier life. Sadly, I am a hapless victim of the dreadful workoholism epidemic that’s spreading it’s ugly head all over the corporate society.

All I yearn to do is smell the roses and wake up way past afternoon to the whiff of strong coffee. I yearn to enjoy the onset of winters by cuddling under my thick, warm quilts and dreamin my dreams away. I yearn to rock n roll in my own bed …a toss here ..a toss there….till I plomp onto the floor. I yearn to wake up with messy tangled hair and stinking bad breath after days n nights of sleep.I yearn to wake up for that momentary moment of my ‘pyjama dance’ on my bed only to doze back to sleepland again.I yearn to wake up with glowin skin after my endless days n nights of beauty sleep. I yearn to do everything by just doing nothing. I yearn to sleep.

My weepy sleepy tale of the week. Yenjoy!

  1. Lovely, simply euphoric! What is the song u have quoted from?

I am in full empathy with u. Sleep is soothing to the body and soul, it severs all connecions to the nitty gritties of reality, to the rat race, the workaholism u r talking about and takes u to the river Hades of mythology, deep underground, into a trance, lulling u to quietude and oblivion. But for us, it remains a dream, We have to slog and earn our livelihood which hardly allows us to fantasise about sleep. So we take it out thru blogs such as these. Vicarious pleasures!

By the way u must talk to your management about the cubicle, the chair and the airconditioning system. The way u complain about it any HR Manager would be moved to tears and the toughest Finance Manager would readily sanction the budget for revamping your cubicle and mould it nearer to your heart’s desire. And about the dry skin try Aloe Vera soap and lotion.About your gazing into the computer screen, every twenty minutes, take your eyes off the pc and look at an object at least fifty feet distant ( even if u have to come out of your cubicle)and blink for two minutes. Rub your palms and cup your eyes to give them the warmth. Worth taking the trouble for the sake of your precious eyes ( i told u about your intense look earlier)

Your pyjama dance is material for Sony’s Big Boss. Well such trite comments from me would have been permissible in Tina’s teasers but not in Tina’s tales. Sorry for the transgression.

Your blog was a lullaby and a rhapsody in one. Thanks for taking me into another world.zzzzzzzz i am already half asleep.

  2. It’s a take-off from Sheryl Crow’s ‘All I wanna do is have some fun’…:). Thanks for the lovely words again. Your blogspot bolgs are pretty interesting as well..esp the futuristic airport security scenario:)

  3. I stand enlightened about Sheryl Crow.

Thanks for your appreciation of my blog on futuristic air travel. The other blogs on current affairs were my first attempts at blogging and were disasters as the comments on them would show. I am learning from peers like u.

Now look forward to your next
    Happy blogging!

  4. “as the sun rises to yet another beautiful dawn………..
I see your lovely eyes drowned in a dreamland……..
wish I could look at you all day long………
the peace n serenity I see on your face…….
puts me so much to ease with my sorrows…….
thank u for tht wonderful moment I could cherish for a day long…”
