Bollywood female actors have faced sexism and misogyny for years. Some press questions are sexist as well. From intrusive questions to objectification, the women have seen it all.
The questions asked of female actors vs. male actors are very different. ‘Serious-career-related’ questions are usually reserved for men, while women are asked anything but their career and future plans. It’s unlikely that such questions will go away, but one can hope that the media becomes more sensitive and that more women stand up to them.
