“You nasty home wrecker!”, Shashi slapped the woman hard across her face.

Eela fell on the ground and lay there, too embarrassed and scared to get up.

“How dare you ruin the life of my daughter?”

Eela got further slaps, this time from flinging hard leather slippers. All this for the greater cause of love, she thought.

Shashi had to be physically stopped by the shell-shocked crowd. They forcibly put her in an auto-rickshaw before sending her home.
