Wendy had only heard horrific stories about the deep freeze from her friends who moved into the sunny terrains of California.

But, here she was in Cedarburg, Wisconsin twenty years down the line, sticking out her tongue  to catch the waltzing snowflakes and making snow angels every day. California paled in comparison to this frozen beauty of a place.

Wendy found her true soul-mate in Richard and no guesses why! They had an adventurous snow wedding and lived …(well, you know how that one goes!)

For this week´s Friday Fictioneers challenge hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. The fun challenge is to write a short story of 100 words based on the photo prompt. This week´s photo prompt is provided by Dale Rogerson. Anyone can participate!

    1. Whoa! That is indeed such a bizarre coincidence. You know, I didn´t struggle with the names at all this time. Having lived in California and loving the Chili´s at Wendy´s out there, the name immediately popped up in my head. And, I seriously don´t know how Richard spontaneously showed up. But, it just did! Good to know a bit about you in the bargain. 🙂 Keep reading and thank you so much for the kind words! Cheers!
