“We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations” – Charles Swindoll.
Okay, right now, I feel like a mouse who just escaped by a whisker from being devoured by a speeding Cheetah. No! Really!
It´s been a long, long weekend with rushed work deadlines. There´s so much happening in various different directions that sometimes you wonder which way to head first. And, you have to go everywhere sometimes, Baby! There is no excuse or an escape out!
Charles Swindoll´s quote comes as a timely reminder during this week´s Friday reflection. When the going is tough, the tough gets going! But how tough can you be at all times without flinching and losing ´it´ is the fundamental question! And even if you keep your nerves, how is it not going to affect the wits of those concerned about and around you? How long can you test their patience?
At this stage, I´m caught between family, work and personal goals. It´s a challenge that keeps me on my toes. At times, I go haywire and get hassled. But I keep reminding myself that nothing comes easy. And, it is the impossible situations in life that come masked as great opportunities.
In fact, I believe tragedy and joy are two sides of the same coin. When you choose to accept and ´show up´ for the impossible situations and face them head-on, however tragic they may be, it will flip around and show its sunny side up. Most certainly like the dawn after the midnight!
If you are new to Friday Reflections, here’s what it’s about. It’s the end of the week, you’re probably exhausted with work, and all you want to do is sit back, put your feet up, sip on some fancy cocktail or wine, and write away.
Sanch Vee and Corinne Rodrigues give you one writing prompt a week to blog about and link to every Friday. The link will be open till the Monday. After you link up, be sure to spread the love by visiting other bloggers who have linked in too.
