Homecoming #FridayFictioneers

The bus ride to the Lexington Fort was filled with cheer, excitement and laughter. The tour guide was at his animated best as he recalled the good old days of the long forgotten empire and its outrageous stories of the lives of the Emperors.

Jenna was the last one to get off the bus to see the place that she dreaded till now. She ran her fingers through the ancient relics, hugged the pillars tight and kissed it tenderly. She burst into tears of happiness as held her son in her arms – ´Mum´s home, Chris´.

    1. Hi Akshata! You´re the inspiration there for me. After reading your awesome Flash fiction stories, I decided to give it a try as well. It´s quite an interesting challenge of its own, I must admit. Addictive too. Keep reading and sharing your thoughts. Love and Cheers!

    1. Hi Cheryl! Firstly a warm welcome to my blog. I´m new to the whole concept as well. Homecoming is my second flash fiction attempt. I would urge you to try your hand at it. It´s not as daunting as it seems. I stayed wary for quite a long time because brevity is not my style either. But, Im enjoying writing for posts under 500 words and even 100. I´ll remind you to take part in one of these weekly flash fiction events. Thank you for the appreciation. Means a lot. Keep reading! Love and Cheers!
