´Mommy will be up in exactly 5 mins. Run along and go brush your teeth till I jump out of the bed.´

5.35 am – Good morning cuddles and kisses time! Also, the time to expertly manage the morning rush. Switches on geyser.

5.40 am – Morning Chai time while skimming through the school activities of the day.

Homework – Check
Dictation – Check. Needs another round of preparation
Project – Check
Miscellaneous (Bagpack etc) – Check

6.00 am – Time to whip up some breakfast and lunch while the kid is having her bath.

6.30 am – Breakfast time

7.30 am – Drops kid to school

8.00 am – Gym

9.00 am – Work-Work -Work-Work-Work (Yes! At times, literally soaking in Rihanna´s tune playing in the background as an energizer alongside some pipin´hot coffee)

(Breaks of all kinds in between. Go figure!)

12.00 pm – Lunch

12.30 pm – Work-Work -Work-Work-Work (Yes! At times, literally soaking in Rihanna´s tune playing in the background as an energizer alongside some pipin´hot coffee)

(Breaks of all kinds in between. Go figure!)

3.45 pm – Kiddo´s back from her school.

4.15 pm – Time to take her to sports class.

    • Hi Rajlakshmi! So great to see you back on my blog. I have to work on getting more sleep in my routine. You have a very fit lifestyle, I see. I see that you are a Yogi who writes really beautifully. My daughter is an early riser and my husband and I are late sleepers. Work-in-progress! 🙂

    • Hi Akshata! Yes, I see that too. There is a routine in place but I do have my cheat days considering I work from home and it can get tricky on some days. My daughter wakes up even before sunrise ..so I need to get things moving early on in the day. Weekends, I wake up really late..lol. 🙂

  1. Waking up at 5. 30 and sleeping at 11 means less sleep right? I wake up at 6 🙂 your article reflects most of the moms routine including mine except that iam on career break now.

So, yes I have to work on scheduling more sleep into my timetable. Exactly, this is most Mom´s timetable …I currently work from home which suits me perfectly 🙂
